Hungria

Hungria is a very sweet and sociable girl. She is great with people, loves cuddles and kisses. She shares a cage with other dogs and goes out on the patio with dogs from other cages too. She really enjoys that little break in patio every day, she likes to run around and play with her friends.

March 2024 – Hungria went into foster for a week or so, due to the risk of the pound flooded in March, her foster tells us:
“Hungria got along very well with my dog. When going for a walk she walked very calmly and didn’t cause any problems. She barks when she hears something. The TV was probably new to her, so she barked sometimes of the TV. She loves people and seeks closeness. She is also house trained, but I think she prefers being outside rather than in the house because she often ran around in the garden. She seems to be okay with cats. Hopefully she will find a good home, unfortunately she is too big for me. We drive back and forth from Germany to Spain every 3 months and two large dogs in the car are not feasible. I wish her all the best.”

Hungria is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
