Papi – Urgent Foster or Adopter Needed

Papi is desperately looking for a new home or foster placement. This handsome boy is around 4-5 years old and has spent nearly three years in a home, so having to move again is going to be incredibly difficult for him.

Papi is a loving, affectionate dog who absolutely adores his people. He gives the best cuddles, loves to play ball, and when his ball is involved, his recall is fantastic. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, Papi could be your perfect match.

Like many dogs, Papi comes with some quirks and will need an understanding home that can help him thrive:

He is an escape artist and is very clever when it comes to opening doors and even windows. He can also clear a 6ft fence, so a very secure garden is essential.

He has successfully lived with another dog but can be selective about his canine friends, particularly larger dogs.

Papi loves his food (and cheese is a particular favourite!) but will guard food from other dogs. He is also known to help himself to anything left on the kitchen counters and won’t think twice about raiding the bins if given the chance!

No cats or small furries, please.

Papi would be happiest in an adult-only home. He forms strong bonds and isn’t keen on being left alone, so would suit someone who is home most of the time.

Fireworks don’t seem to bother him, but he can be unsettled by sudden loud bangs or raised voices.

Despite his challenges, Papi has so much love to give. He simply needs the right person to see beyond his imperfections and offer him the understanding, security, and commitment he deserves.

Papi is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
